LIfe-CHANGING SELF-HEALING   personal growth & transformation

With some of my Journey Practitioner global family at the end of "Life Transformation" Week 2011

in 2004  aged 40, juggling two small children, a husband and a business, I suddenly found myself brought to my knees with overwhelming grief for my mother who had died unexpectedly when I was 6 years old.

I’d never had any bereavement counselling, so I tried that. Talking helped a little, but couldn't fill the aching emptiness I felt inside. Medication was not for me; somehow I knew I had to find the answers from within. One day, feeling at a complete loss, I found myself down on my knees asking for help. Very soon after, Brandon Bays’ book The Journey, “jumped off the shelf” at me and as soon as I had read it, I knew I’d found what I’d been looking for.

The gentle process of “peeling back of the layers” with Journeywork enabled me to finally acknowledge the huge impact of losing my mum. I discovered that not only did I have suppressed grief to deal with, but a raft of other unexpressed emotions – anger, abandonment, fear, to name a few.

I also came to realise that in trying to protect myself I had unwittingly adopted a host of sabotaging behaviours. As I allowed myself to feel these emotions, understand my behaviour and forgive, I began to feel lighter and freer, and found the sense of self I’d lost along the way.

Having felt like a “square peg in a round hole” all my adult life, I realised that Journey work fitted me like a glove, and that, not only was it healing me, but I had at last found what I wanted to do with my life. I enrolled in the Practitioners’ Programme and received my Accreditation in 2007.

I can hardly believe that was 10 years ago! Since then my whole life has changed beyond recognition.

Once I began working as a Journey Practitioner I realised that I could no longer continue in the business, and then several years later, that it was time for my marriage to end. It was an incredibly challenging time, and I am so grateful that I had both the Journey Method and the Non Personal Awareness process, which came along at just the right time to help me and my family sail the choppy waters of divorce, new homes, my remarriage and the joys of step-family life.

Of course having been through that experience myself, I am now able to help others to walk that path with love and compassion for all concerned.

In 2012, I became the UK’s first Certified NPA Teacher. Since then I have been using a blend of both The Journey Method and NPA to help hundreds of clients working one-to-one, in couples or groups.      It is a joy and a privilege for me to be able to share these amazing tools, and witness them working their magic in people's lives.
